Speculation about the future of Xbox has been running rampant over recent months as Microsoft began sharing its exclusives with other consoles.
This caused tongues to start wagging and contemplate whether Microsoft would eventually pull out of the console market and focus on games and the Xbox Game Pass subscription model.
Will we see Halo released on PlayStation? It seems anything is possible
Well, one industry insider, Jez Corden, believes that more exclusives will be jumping ship over to PlayStation this year.

As reported on Reddit, there are some big details about the future of the Xbox brand which comes from the XboxTwo Discord. Now, before we get into the details, you’re going to want a handful of salt for this.
It’s reported that Xbox will become more like Steam in the future offering a service first and foremost, becoming more open for devs, and bringing prices down.
There will likely still be Xbox hardware created but it will be more niche, like the Steam Deck, and will side-load Steam in order to open the console up to more games.
These are all rumours, and while many were seemingly confirmed by Jex Corden, they’ve been wrong in the past. What is more likely is that Microsoft will open up its exclusives to PlayStation as an extra revenue stream in the tough gaming market we find ourselves in.

Perhaps the biggest note from the XboxTwo Discord is that “All Xbox first-party games coming to PlayStation, even Forza, Halo.” Bringing games like Halo, Gears of War, and Forza to PlayStation would be huge for players to branch out, and would create more profit for both companies.
Given that Microsoft started in PC gaming, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if they wanted to pivot towards a more open ecosystem much like we see with PC and its multiple storefronts. However, you’ve still got that handful of salt and you’d best keep hold of it until official news comes out.
