Four new games are coming to Xbox Game Pass in September, or rather we should say that four new games have been confirmed so far.
The four games that are dropping are Age of Mythology: Retold, Star Trucker, Frostpunk 2, and Ara: History Untold.
Star Trucker and Age of Mythology: Retold are coming to all Xbox platforms, whereas Frostpunk 2 and Ara: History Untold are currently only confirmed to be coming to Game Pass on PC.

Both Ara: History Untold and Age of Mythology: Retold are both first-party titles for Microsoft, so you better hope you own either a PC or an Xbox system if you are excited for either.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will land on Game Pass later this year.
Star Trucker sees players hauling cargo across space, and it’s been described by the developers as an “Americana-infused journey on the ultimate open road - space!”

Frostpunk 2 is a sequel to 2018’s Frostpunk, which was developed and published by 11 Bit Studios. It’s a city-building survival game set in a “volcanic winter”, which sees players making “politically controversial” choices in order to help their citizens survive.
Age of Mythology: Retold is supposed to serve as a sort of HD remake of the original Age of Mythology, which was originally released back in 2002.
Age of Mythology is a parallel take on the Age of Empires franchise, with more of a focus on legends of civilizations such as Egypt and Greece.
Ara: History Untold is a strategy game where you “build a nation and lead your people throughout history to the pinnacles of human achievement as you explore new lands”.

It’s being developed by Oxide Games, and it looks absolutely beautiful so far. Definitely could be a sleeper critical hit for 2024, given how little press it’s received up until recently.
