The launch of Starfield is merely just a couple of weeks away and the hype train is at full steam.
By now, there’s probably not much else that we can learn about Bethesda’s upcoming sci-fi RPG, especially following a recent ‘Starfield Direct’ event. So Bethesda is finding new ways to excite fans, not that we really need more reasons to be excited, because we are most certainly hyped, to say the least.
Check out Inon Zur's Starfield performance below!
During this week’s Gamescom Opening Night Live, we were treated to a gorgeous live-action trailer accompanied by a wonderful orchestral version of Elton John’s 'Rocket Man'. In fact, the trailer was so well-received that fans are now calling for a live-action Starfield movie or TV series. However, that was not all, because fans were treated to another surprise.

Before Bethesda head honcho Todd Howard took to the stage to talk all things Starfield with ONL host Geoff Keighley, we were also treated to a special piano performance from the composer of the game Inon Zur, wowing those in attendance and those live-streaming the event from the comfort of their own homes.
With Starfield recently going gold, we can take comfort in knowing that its final stages of development are complete and it's ready to ship to retail. Unfortunately, it’s not so comforting for those that have access to early review codes, because this massive game is causing some to lose entire nights, apparently.
In other related news, ‘out-the-blue’ pre-order cancellations are leaving fans heartbroken. I swear, if they cancel my Constellation Edition, there will be hell to pay! What’s more, fans say that following its 12-month delay, Bethesda has “outdone” itself.
Starfield has a release date of 6 September 2023 for PC and Xbox Series X|S. Unless you’ve pre-ordered the Premium or Constellation Edition. If so, then your release date is 1 September. Starfield will also launch on Xbox Game Pass.
