Halo 7 may remain a long way away from release, or even a full reveal, but there’s plenty else going on that fans of the franchise can enjoy.
Perhaps most exciting of all is the fact that Halo 2’s original E3 tech demo from 2003 is now available to play.
Yes, I can’t quite believe it either that this slice of video game history is resurfacing after over 20 years.

Despite Sgt Johnson assuring us there’d be “no smoke and mirrors”, the demo notoriously contained elements that never made it into the final game.
That’s not what I’m here to talk about though, nor am I here to talk about a very popular mod that blends the worlds of Halo: Reach and Star Wars: Battlefront, although you should check that out too.
Instead, I want to inform you that Master Chief is reportedly soon set to appear in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Take a look at Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 in action below which many are heralding as the best CoD instalment in years.
The Call of Duty franchise has been playing around with weird and wacky operator skins for years, ranging from The Walking Dead’s Rick Grimes to musician Nicki Minaj.

There’s nothing, particularly, that’s out of the realm of possibility.
And, of course, now that Microsoft owns Activision, it only felt like a matter of time before Xbox-related skins started popping up.
Well, that may finally be happening soon according to Shpeshal Nick.
The leaker shared a screenshot showing a Discord exchange, although the name of the other person involved was crossed out.

“Master Chief is coming to COD,” this individual wrote.
“He’s the first collab, think he’s meant to be a skin for Price but he’s coming.”
They continued, “And so is DoomSlayer eventually. Marcus Fenix is another name thrown at me.”
Alongside the tweet, Nick wrote, “To put it out there. I can get behind this as well as Gears. Had heard about them a while back. I think Chief was supposed to be for MWIII originally (hence the Price mention) but was pushed to Black Ops.”

As I said, this all feels like an inevitability so while I urge you to take this tease with a pinch of salt, I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw some official confirmation eventually come to light.
