According to one well-known leaker, Halo: Master Chief Collection could officially be coming to PlayStation 5 very soon - which probably shouldn't be a surprise to anyone following the news of all of the recent announcements from Microsoft.
Sea of Thieves, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Hi-Fi Rush, and, as of last night, Forza Horizon 5; basically every Xbox exclusive seems to be making its way towards PlayStation 5 at this point.
And, according to one industry insider, Master Chief himself could be next.

In a thread over on Twitter, one user discussed the possibility of Halo being the next Xbox franchise to land on PlayStation, which warranted a response from Windows Central's Jez Corden.
“Now that the first of the 'big three' (Halo, Forza, Gears) is officially headed to PlayStation, it's only a matter of time before we see the others,” posted user @Okami13_.
“Halo on PS5 is really happening isn't it?”
Take a look at Forza Horizon 5 in action below.
“Yep,” replied user @JezCorden, “MCC is first I heard. but we'll see.”

So far, Jez Corden has been pretty on the money about the Xbox to PlayStation ports, so I’d be very surprised if we don’t hear anything about the heavily rumoured Halo: Master Chief Collection PS5 port within the next month or so.
Honestly, something about a Halo game on PlayStation hardware just feels wrong to me.
Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 were responsible for putting the OG Xbox on the map back in the day. They were, and still probably might be, the quintessential example of system sellers. Without them, the Xbox probably would have been a mere footnote.
I’m not morally opposed to a Halo PlayStation port or anything, it’ll just take some time for me to wrap my head around it.

Oh and don’t think I’ve forgotten about you, Starfield. We all know you’re coming to PlayStation 5 any day now.
