According to insider sources, a collection compiling some of the best Gears Of War games is supposedly being developed by The Coalition.
Gears Of War fans have a lot to be excited about at the moment, as a live-action TV series is currently in the works with Netflix, with Dave Bautista as the top pick to play Marcus Phoenix, he’s interested too.

Then there’s Gears Of War 6, which will continue the story whilst taking the series somewhere it’s never been before, an open world. Now I’m sure a lot of you may have just groaned at the idea of another series making an open world its next gimmick, but I wouldn’t worry too much. The series creator Cliff Blesinski has reportedly seen what The Coalition has been working on, and is excited for fans to see the new direction it’s going in.

In the meantime, fans believe something is being pegged for a 2024 release, as an anonymous tweet from one of The Coalition’s team hinted at something big this year. Many thought it could be the release date for Gears Of War 6, though recent speculation is now pointing to something else, a Gears collection.
It was recently said on the Xbox Infinite podcast that a Gears Of War collection is in the works, and that the “build is finished and the game testers are currently playing it now.”
This obviously needs to be taken with a pinch of salt, but it’s believed it’d be a similar project to Halo: The Master Chief Collection, compiling the full Gears Of War story onto one game, hopefully with some spruced-up graphics to go with it.
It’d be a no-brainer really, as Gears Of War is one of the most popular franchises on Xbox, and to a lesser degree PC. A collection would make a great exclusive and be in line with recent reports that Xbox will be paying closer attention to its back catalogue going forward.
