The WWE superstar Randy Orten reportedly paid $1,000 for Elden Ring runes, so he didn’t have to level up himself.

They say Elden Ring is the most accessible FromSoftware game for new players, even more so if you’re willing to pay your way to level 100 apparently.

Check out these funny Elden Ring wins and fails below!

That’s exactly what the WWE superstar Randy Orten did, as it was recently revealed he’s a big fan of FromSoftware’s tough-as-nails soulslike game, just not a fan of having to grind for levels.

On a recent Twitch livestream called The Insiderz, former WWE tag team duo Brennan Williams and Mansoor Al-Shehail said Orton once approached them to tell them all about his adventures in the Lands Between. Turns out he loved the fast-paced gameplay and exploration but didn’t enjoy slowly levelling up to face the next challenge.

His solution? Pay a player $1,000 to give him an endless supply of runes (currency used to level up) so he can skyrocket to level 100 and be ready for anything.

Quoting Orten, Al-Shehail said: “Yeah, it’s f****** hard. I paid a guy $1,000 bucks to give me infinite runes so I could level up to 100 right away.” Williams then added “I love that game though. It’s awesome. But no, I couldn’t deal with that bullshit so I just paid a guy to give me a bunch of runes.”

Some fans will undoubtedly argue that paying for levels completely defeats the purpose of the game, but at the end of the day, everyone has their own system and playstyle for soulslike titles.

It’d be interesting to see how Orten fairs when the Shadow Of The Erdtree expansion drops though, as FromSoftware is renowned for severely ramping up the difficulty with its DLC, meaning level 100 probably won’t be enough to face all the new challenges.
