Elden Ring players stunned by new hidden shortcut found after 1,000 hours

Elden Ring players stunned by new hidden shortcut found after 1,000 hours

Elden Ring really is the best of the best

Elden Ring players have found yet another secret after thousands of hours, further proving why it’s one of the best games ever made.

While all the hype may have died down around Elden Ring’s Shadow Of The Erdtree DLC, it still has a passionate and dedicated playerbase devoted to finding every last crumb of content.

The open-world in Elden Ring is huge, basically being two maps stacked on top of each together when you take into account all the underground areas you can visit.

One of these areas is Deeproot Depths, an area you probably wouldn’t visit unless you’re advancing Fia’s quest.

Advancing Fia’s questline can also unlock a shortcut to Leyndell if you’re looking to get there without the medallions needed for the lift.

What some players might not know however is that you can access Deeproot Depths from the Frenzied Flame Proscription, the area underneath Leyndell where you fight the fake Mohg.

A player by the name of RewsterSause shared this discovery on Reddit, saying they’ve played over 1,000 hours of the game and never seen the shortcut before, adding “this game never ceases to amaze.”

As said before you can do Fia’s quest down there, as well as pick up plenty of goodies and fight Fortissax, a very cool dragon boss.

While some players already knew of this shortcut, others were equally amazed, with one saying “I completely forgot about this. Many successive play throughs completely overlooking it, forgot it existed.”

“Incredible. I remember finding a path that led around Stormveil Castle to Liurnia. I'll have to see if I can find it again for confirmation. It's been a long time. Some of the best times I've had was from exploring blindly” added another.

Elden Ring remains one of the best RPGs ever made, and one you can seemingly replay endlessly and always find something new.
