There really doesn’t seem to be many gamers out there who haven’t had an Elden Ring obsession this year. Heck, there are plenty of people still experiencing it. It’s been out for just over two months now, and although that initial hype has pretty much fully calmed down by now, the game is so massive that players are still uncovering new stuff and finding new ways to play.
And as for the hours people have put into it, well. I don’t know about you, but I’ve seen some frankly terrifying numbers - some players are definitely spending more time in the Lands Between than they are reality. Obviously, celebrities aren’t immune to Elden Ring addiction either, and currently, people are losing it over one famous face’s obsession with the game.
Have you really played Elden Ring properly if you've not completed it using a dance mat as the controller? No, I don't think so. Take a look at how the pros do it below.
As reported by ComicBook, Randy Orton, renowned American wrestler, is apparently one of the game’s biggest fans. Although he has to spend a lot of time on the road, he’s been spending seemingly all of it grinding away at the game’s bosses.

One fan pointed out on Twitter that Knoxville to St. Louis, a journey that the WWE star said he was making, was a particularly lengthy one, but clearly that’s no problem when you’re so absorbed in a game: “[It’s eight hours] by bus. I’m playing Elden Ring and celebrating myself,” Orton responded. “I had to take a bathroom break, so I decided to check up on Elon, and first thing I saw was your comment. I felt inclined to respond, so I did. Now I’m going to go back to slaying Demi-gods and absorbing their runes.”
He then elaborated a little further in the thread, claiming that he’s got himself to an astoundingly high level - 527, to be exact. Whether in all that time on the road he’s sought out some of the sneaky rune farming locations to help boost that number is unknown, but you’ve got to hand it to the guy - he’s clearly very dedicated.
