Rotwood is a cartoon brawler with bags of charm and humour, coming from Klei, the studio behind Don’t Starve. If that isn’t your thing, perhaps you’d prefer an anime board game in Astral Party, which is sure to give Mario Party a run for its money and bring board game madness to PC.
Children of the Sun is a kooky action strategy game that combines a comic book style with gorgeous landscapes and plenty of action. If you want a surreal and delightful MetroidVania then look no further than Ultros, which is a psychedelic trip bursting with bold colours and unique features. Perhaps cute and cosy is what you really need in this hectic life? Then download Minami Lane and revel in the pastel cuteness.
Who knows when the Next Fest will return. Steam tends to run the festival a few times a year and it’s a great opportunity to see what’s bubbling up for PC. Get over to Steam and grab the demos while you still can.
