Bethesda’s highly-anticipated RPG Starfield, is promising big things for its players. Aside from its enormous galaxy, there’ll be more freedom than ever before in how you play the game, including becoming a space-samurai, building and customising your own starships, as well as which planets you visit and which factions you side with.

Players are already thinking about their hundred hour playthroughs, designing starships in Blender, and theorising what dangers will claim their character’s life first during their adventures.
That being said, players have also been left with what was seemingly an impossible choice, which platform to play the game on. The Xbox version is restricted in terms of its framerate to maintain graphical fidelity, whereas PC players can really push performance and graphics, at the cost of more expensive hardware, like one gamer who spent $800 just to play Starfield at its best.
Luckily, the latest product listing for Starfield has revealed players will have access to both versions of the game, regardless of which one they initially buy. The store page was altered to include the “Xbox Play Anywhere” tag, which means you can download the PC version if you own the Xbox version, or vice-versa, at no additional cost. It also means both versions will share a save state via the Cloud, allowing you to access your progress in whichever platform you’re playing on.
This is a brilliant option for players who are happy with their Xbox consoles for the time being, but are considering joining the PC master race in the future. It’s probably also worth mentioning AMD is currently offering a deal that’ll net you a free PC copy of Starfield with the purchase of a new CPU.
