Fans of the 2019 action-adventure title Days Gone (who just so happen to own the game on PC) are in luck thanks to a free download arriving later this week.
The zombie-survival game which pits the player against hordes of the undead is yet another of Sony’s once-great exclusives but now that the Bend Studio game has made its way over to PC, an upgrade is set to soon be available for it.
Check out the trailer for Days Gone Remastered below!
Arriving on 25 April, Days Gone for PC will receive a free remastered version which will feature all of the new improvements and advancements that have been made possible over the past five years.

More specifically, PC players will receive official support for DualSense haptic feedback as well as new accessibility features and graphical improvements.
There is no denying that Days Gone was already stunning to begin with but now thanks to these tweaks, the game shines.
Especially at night as the developers have worked on ways to make it much darker after sunset, as well as improving indirect lighting and ambient occlusion.
There will also be more accurate sunlight effects, a new atmospheric/sky simulation using ozone and spectral light simulation and better shadowmap resolution.

Of course, this is all a bit technical but it is safe to say that eagle-eyed gamers will definitely notice the difference in the appearance of the game.
However, although this update may be free, the Days Gone: Broken Road DLC will not be and if players wish to access the game’s Horde Mode, Permadeath Mode, and Speedrun Mode, they will have to purchase it separately.
Luckily, the free update does not take up any more space on your PC’s storage so that is not something you have to worry about.
However, as graphics have been improved, you will need a PC which can handle this if you wish to experience Days Gone on its ultra settings.
