Despite most of us looking the other way now, Bethesda is determined to make Starfield the game it was marketed to be.
Recent news revealed that that one of the biggest updates Bethesda’s sci-fi adventure has had thus far is coming, and with it comes a highly requested feature.
It’s cause for celebration indeed – assuming there’s anyone still left at the Starfield party.

Rolled into this big update is the news that Xbox players will finally be released from the hell that is 30fps.
We’ve all seen fellow Xbox fans complain about how unbearable this is, so the devs have listened and will enable the game to run at 60fps.

This will be one of several new display options designed to further enhance Starfield’s gameplay. The only problem is, fans are miffed this wasn’t included to begin with.
“Should have been there from the start,” posted one individual in response to the update announcement. “Stop releasing unfinished products!”
Similar sentiments can be found further down the comments, like this one from YouTuber Yackass, “Too little, too late. No one cares about this boring ass game anymore.”
If you’re feeling that way about this so-called “divisive” game – Todd Howard’s words, not ours – there’s a silver lining in all of this. Not for Starfield, but for Fallout.

Apparently, there will be a new game before Fallout 5, and yes, it will be part of the Fallout universe.
Small wins and all that jazz.
Starfield feels like a game that’ll never claw its way back to the top; it suffered such a harsh and quick fall from grace. But who knows – stranger things have happened.
For those interested in the beefy update on the way, it’ll be yours come 15 May.
