Now that we have finally weeded out all of the April Fools “news”, we can turn our attention to some more realistic rumours including one that claims The Uncharted Collection is set to get a remaster for PlayStation 5 and PC.
First released back in 2015 and consisting of the first three games in Naughty Dog’s Uncharted series, The Uncharted Collection gave a new lick of paint to the much-loved, yet aging action-adventure series. Featuring 2007’s Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, its 2009 sequel Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and finally 2011’s Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, the collection featured optimisation for the PlayStation 4.

However, in the era of the PlayStation 5 and Unreal Engine 5, it has been rumoured that the Uncharted series will be getting yet another remaster.
Advert
According to PC_Focus on Twitter, the “Uncharted Collection is getting remastered for PS5 & PC according to a new rumour.” Although it is uncertain where this rumour originated, one trusted source does think it could be a possibility.
They said: “It is very likely that this happens, Uncharted is a very important saga and it will continue to have games. The first remaster is important to bring to PC and obviously PS5 can't miss out on it.”
With fans desperate for a new trilogy, this may be the only one they are likely to get with no current news of an update in the series. However, with Uncharted 4: A Thief's End still considered as Naughty Dog’s best game by many, another sequel would go down a treat.
Until we receive confirmation of The Uncharted Collection’s remaster for the PlayStation 5 and PC, the rumours will remain but with the series already receiving one reboot, does it really need another? One fan disagreed by saying: “Seems Sony is doing anything to avoid Bloodborne Remastered”.
