We all love an unexpected surprise, especially when it’s a free game! Announced by the developer Total Mayhem Games, We Were Here Expeditions: The Friendship (there’s an actual friend ship) is going to be free for all PlayStation and PC owners until 13 October.
We Were Here is a co-op only adventure that sees you and a friend work through challenging puzzles and trials building the trust, communication and teamwork between you.

Take a look at the game in action below.
The game follows a duo of explorers who have set out across the ocean and been caught in a storm. As the lightning flashes around them, a distress call leads them to a deserted island. After a short boat ride, the pair stumble across an abandoned amusement park full of two-person puzzles.
The trailer is full of cutesy charm and shows off the variety of headscratchers you’ll face on this mysterious island. It’s worth noting that this is online co-op, so there will be no options for local play.

This latest release follows several other co-op puzzle games from Total Mayhem Games. This ‘Bite-size’ game comes as a taster for their other titles, all of which take place across different locales. The aim is to work together while communicating as you work through a narrative led series of puzzles.
The good news doesn’t stop at just PlayStation and PC; Xbox owners will get a free 10-hour trial of this latest game, so you can test the old grey matter. And, even better, the game features cross-play so you don’t have to worry about owning the game on the same system.
To claim the game, simply log into your chosen platform, head to the store and download it or add it to your library.
We Were Here Expeditions: The Friendship is also available on Steam, Epic Game Store and Xbox.
