PlayStation Plus offers up hundreds of video games to play as well as exclusive DLC, discounts and much more, regardless of which of the three tiers you subscribe to.
The most basic tier, PS Plus Essential is the same deal as before Sony’s 2022 revision offering a selection of monthly games and additional perks. PS Plus Extra offers everything included in the Essential tier but with a lot more PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 games to choose from.

However, there is one snag with the PS Plus Extra and Premium titles, and that’s most leave on rotation to make way for a new batch of games, such as the title that is the subject of this article. That very game is SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated, a remaster of the 2003 title.
The remaster of this classic platformer which was handled by Purple Lamp Studios and published by THQ Nordic is still a fun game to play today, especially for fans of the ever-popular Nickelodeon series. This remaster even includes a multiplayer mode which was cut from the 2003 original.
“Are you ready, kids? The cult classic is back, faithfully remade in spongetastic splendour! Play as SpongeBob, Patrick and Sandy and show the evil Plankton that crime pays even less than Mr. Krabs,” reads the synopsis of the game.
With that in mind, Reddit user isvr95 has urged fellow members on the thread to check out SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated before it leaves PS Plus along with the other exiles this month, which also includes GTA V.

“This was on Essential a few months back. Great game to kill time and have fun,” replied apurvthekiller. “I was always thinking about it.. now I might give it a shot,” said Gummypeepo.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
