PlayStation Plus free open-world RPG is a 'massive w', fans agree

Only a few days until you can dive in

PlayStation Plus’ latest extra and premium tier offerings have been unveiled, and the line-up includes one open-world RPG that players agree is a massive win.

Day one release Blue Prince has already launched on the extra tier and if you’re in doubt as to whether to give it a go, you may be swayed by the fact that GAMINGbible awarded the title a perfect score of 10 out of 10.

The rest of the titles will unlock on 15 April

They include Hogwarts Legacy, day one release Lost Records: Bloom & Rage - Tape 2, EA Sports PGA Tour, Battlefield 1, and PlateUp! on the extra tier, as well as Alone in the Dark 2 and War of the Monsters on the premium tier.

Of course, that open-world RPG I’m referring to is Hogwarts Legacy.

You can take a look at the aforementioned Blue Prince in action below.

Plenty of people have played Hogwarts Legacy; it was 2023’s best-selling new release after all.

If you haven’t though, this is the perfect chance to give it a whirl.

Set in the 1800s, you’ll star as a new student at Hogwarts who just so happens to hold the key to unlocking an ancient secret that could tear the Wizarding World apart.

While its open-world may get a tad repetitive for those going for full completion, there’s plenty that’s great about Hogwarts Legacy, which is exactly why it secured a respectable top score of 85 over on Metacritic.

“My refusal to buy Hogwarts at 80% discount in hopes it would come to extra has finally paid off,” declared Reddit user Dismiss.

Hogwarts Legacy is a massive W for the catalog looking forward to finally playing it,” added ShaneTVZ.

“YESS HOGWARTS LEGACY,” shouted halstons.

Personally, it’s Lost Records: Bloom & Rage - Tape 2 that I’m counting down to, but it’s nice that there’s a bit of something for everyone.
