PlayStation Plus subscribers have urged gamers to check out this free game if they’re fans of The Legend of Zelda.
It’s fair to say that we’ll never see Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda franchise officially released on a PlayStation console. That being said, we probably said the same about Xbox’s Halo and Gears of War, and judging by rumours, it looks like both of those franchises might be playable on the blue brand one day.

If some PlayStation gamers are determined to only own a Sony console (I would strongly advise against that), how would they get a Legend of Zelda fix?

Many games take inspiration from the iconic Nintendo franchise, but perhaps one of the best alternatives in recent years is an action RPG from Ubisoft released in 2020.
“What's the most underrated PlayStation Plus game from the past two years?” asked Redditor Scrimpleton.
“Immortals Fenyx Rising,” answered 00-Monkey. “I was expecting a generic Ubisoft game, instead, it’s arguably the best game I’ve played in the last year.”
“Immortals Fenyx Rising brings grand mythological adventure to life,” reads the synopsis of the game. “Play as Fenyx, a new, winged demigod, on a quest to save the Greek gods. The fate of the world is at stake – you are the gods’ last hope.”

“I can agree. It’s Zelda on PlayStation 5,” replied vejhanov.
“The stamina mechanic is similar, as well as the vibrant, almost cartoonish graphics,” said pygmeedancer, comparing the Ubisoft game to Breath of the Wild.
“The vaults and the shrines are also similar (and personally my favourite part of both games),” 00-Monkey added to the conversation.
Immortals Fenyx Rising is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. It’s also included with PS Plus Extra and Premium, as well as Xbox Game Pass.
