Come one, come all: the new free games line-up for February has finally been revealed.
Each month we eagerly wait to be dazzled or underwhelmed, arguably with the latter happening more often than not.
Still, while there have been several notable blips, the last batch of free games seemed to please users. At least for those who pay for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, thanks to the God of Work Ragnarök addition. Unfortunately for Essential subscribers, they were given Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, a gift nobody wants.

Will this collection of PlayStation Plus adventures do the same? It’s time to find out.
A somewhat modest selection, many will agree, and not exactly brimming with much potential. However, there's still fun to be found here, especially in the likes of Payday 3 where you can team up with friends.
"Payday 3 only good one," remarked X user @vustera.

Still, the general feeling is that this is a "mid" selection of free titles, playing it far too safe for most.
New arrivals also mark the loss of other games as they leave the service.
Seems rather fitting that we return to the Payday 3 trailer to remind us what we're getting into
Come 18 February, PS Plus subscribers will lose eight games, including The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition. With a sequel on the way, now is the time to play the first title before it'll cost you more than your monthly subscription.

Thankfully, you still have a handful of days left to finish off your playthroughs, assuming you’ve already started them.
If you’re only just now playing these games, we fear you won’t finish all of them before your time runs out. We wish you luck, though.
Your new free games will become available from 3 February onwards, which is next Monday, folks. That's right, the end of January is finally in sight, and with it comes three new freebies to explore.
