It’s hard to imagine how advanced technology will be 10-years from now with how quickly it is adapting over recent years. However, Sony seems to have a slight idea about what will be next for PlayStation, but fans are less than impressed.
This news comes courtesy of the recent annual Creative Entertainment Vision event by Sony which saw the company host a corporate strategy meeting to talk about the future of the PlayStation.
Check out the PlayStation 5 below!
More specifically, the event aimed to discuss where the company “wants to be in 10 years, with an eye towards future technological advances”.

The video, which has been posted to YouTube, discussed its plans but fans were most interested in the futuristic looking PlayStation controller that was featured.
Showing someone playing a galactic looking title, the very-futuristic controller merely looks like the frame of the current PlayStation 5 controller and is being used alongside a floating, curved screen.
“Ten years from now, we will be living in a more multi-layered world where physical and virtual realities overlap without boundaries,” reads the video description.
“If Sony, as a creative entertainment company, would be filling the world with new Kando in that future, what kind of experiential value would we be offering to make that happen?"
“To explore this question, we conducted a prototyping exercise under the concept of ‘Creative Entertainment Vision.’ Envisioning through the lens of Sony’s creativity and technology, here we present the future as an extension of our lives today.”

Although this appears to be a big step into the future for Sony, fans were less than impressed.
One Twitter user said, “Concept or not, this looks hideous lmao.”
Another wrote, “They can’t even make a handheld without just cutting a controller in half. How the hell would they pull this off and get ready for a $1000+ price tag?”
Let's hope that this concept develops and mutates between now and 2034.
