The power of the next generation of consoles has gamers hyped for the countless possibilities such advancements will unlock.
Even though the PlayStation 5 Pro was designed to give players a much needed power boost when compared with its predecessor, the improvements have been described (by some) as “minimal”.
Naturally, now that this upgraded hardware is available, attention has, once again, turned to the PS6’s rumoured capabilities.

According to a leak posted on Chiphell, as per Overclock3D, Sony has big plans for its next console.
Specifically, it’s claimed that it’ll use AMD X3D alongside AMD’s 3D V-Cache to ensure the PS6 has the best CPU on the market.
Now for something a little bit different. Check out the Until Dawn trailer to see how the adaptation is shaping up
The translated post reads as follows:

“The desktop ZEN6 CCD is N3E process, and the IOD process is N4C. The GPU UDNA is also N3E process. The big core flagship is back, and my aunt has also said this.”
It continues, “On the APU side, the next generation of halo will stack 3D to improve the performance of both CPU and GPU [...] At present, the simplest one is sharing. Sony will also stack 3D on the console side, but Microsoft is not sure yet.”
It’s a promising avenue to explore, however, there’s one blindingly obvious issue with utilising such tech: expense.
Gamers already predict that the PS6 will set them back financially when compared with Sony’s previous releases, including the PS5 Pro.

When compared with gaming PCs, consoles still work out cheaper. However, the gap between the two is closing.
Consequently, while the PS6 will likely have some serious power behind it, it’ll also come with a hefty price tag too.
This is already a source of contention among gamers, with that polarisation seemingly set to continue if this leak is legitimate.
Its CPU isn’t the only PS6 news to appear online – there’s also another insider claim that suggests the console’s release is closer than we first thought.

Arguably, this is both a blessing and curse, undoubtedly causing more heated debates among the PlayStation community.
The PS6 is rumoured to be ready to shake up the video games industry. While not all the speculation is true, it ensures our thoughts never stray far from the next-gen hardware.
