Hope you’re ready for more Horizon content, as Guerrilla Games have 16 projects currently in the works.
Following the success of Horizon: Forbidden West, as well as its latest DLC Burning Shores, it’s a no-brainer for Guerrilla Games to continue the PlayStation-exclusive franchise.
With a Horizon TV series already in development with Netflix, the series seemingly has no signs of slowing down, with the developers recently confirming there are plenty more projects on the horizon… get it?

Guerrilla Games’ studio director Jan-Bart van Beek recently spoke about the franchise, and their plans for expanding the universe, as well as continuing the story of series protagonist Aloy. Speaking during a Develop: Brighton talk, Beek confirmed there are currently 16 active plans "clicking on", spanning different forms of media, not just new games.
Beek went on to say: "We're going to be continuing it for a very long while … As people probably already know, we're also going to be working on a multiplayer game.
“[It’s] "a massive shift for the studio, almost on the same level as doing the first Horizon … building this all out to a multiplayer experience is a whole new challenge for the studio,"
Sixteen projects is a lot, especially for a series that’s still quite new. So far there have only been three games released for the series, these being Horizon: Zero Dawn, the aforementioned sequel Horizon: Forbidden West, and a spin-off PlayStation VR title, Horizon: Call of the Mountain.

Any new games in the series remain a mystery at the moment, but the recent Burning Shores DLC does indicate that Aloy’s story still has some twists and turns on the way, and it’s rumoured a third Horizon game is currently in development for that very reason.
It looks like the next few years are going to be very busy for the Horizon series, with fans having a lot to look forward to, especially the live-action TV adaptation, which is set for release either sometime next year, or 2025.
