Whilst there have been some major discounts in recent months, it’s no secret that the PSVR2 is an expensive bit of kit.
It’s a shame really, because Horizon: Call of the Mountain is such a fantastic game and a total must-play for fans of the acclaimed Guerrilla Games series.
With so few of us actually owning a PSVR2 though, many unfortunately were not able to experience this epic adventure.

Horizon: Call of the Mountain secured a very respectable score of 79 over on Metacritic upon release.
Trusted Reviews granted it a perfect 10, writing, “Horizon Call of the Mountain has set a new benchmark for VR games. Rather than trying to shoehorn classic game mechanics into the VR format, Guerrilla Games and Firesprite have rebuilt the likes of combat and climbing from scratch to result in a wonderfully immersive experience.”
As that particular review notes, the game was made in collaboration with Firesprite and if you’ve been itching to hear what the studio will be following up Horizon: Call of the Mountain with, a tease has arrived.
ICYMI: LEGO Horizon Adventures launches later this year. Take a look at the game in action below.
Unfortunately, it sounds as if Firesprite will be moving on from the Horizon IP but their next game sounds equally exciting.

As reported by The Gamer, a series of job listings have appeared for the studio with the ads describing a “dark, story-driven narrative adventure”.
The roles include senior cinematic designer, principal level designer, principal graphics programmer, and head of audio.
It’s set to be a AAA project with “photorealistic” environments and characters.
It’s described as “highly ambitious” and will use “atmosphere, storytelling, player agency, and narrative firmly into ground-breaking territory on next-generation hardware technologies” to create a “compelling” experience.

Details beyond this remain unavailable, but knowing the quality of Firesprite's titles, this ‘dark’ ambitious venture has our interest.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for more.
