Horizon Forbidden West’s visuals have been given a serious overhaul thanks to a new mod that somehow makes the game’s world even more impressive than it already was.
As far as open world games go, PlayStation’s exclusive series, Horizon, has gifted gamers with some of the most stunning landscapes we’ve ever seen, even giving games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Elden Ring a run for their money.

Guerilla Games truly outdid itself when crafted the wildlands, not only making them exciting to explore as you dodge mechanical dinos, but also a treat to look at and the perfect backdrop for photo mode enthusiasts.

It’s why so many gamers have called it one of the most beautiful worlds in gaming, and with the right mods it can be made to look even better.
The mod we’re referring to is called Clear Vision Reshade, and you can download it from NexusMods for free right now, the perfect addition for the recent PC port of the game.
To keep things simple, the mod is simply an overhaul to the overall graphics and performance of the game.
It boasts more vibrant colours, makes shadows look slightly more realistic, and removes the orange/yellowish tint of the base game so the colours of the world can really pop.

They’re simple changes that make a big difference in the long run, and the game looks fantastic with them added, especially the DLC Burning Shores which already looked stellar.
White a third game in the Horizon series hasn’t officially been announced, I think we can all agree that it’s a certainty at this point.
Aloy’s journey is definitely not finished, and if the next game is being developed with new-gen consoles in mind we can expect to see a vast technical improvement over the last game, which is all really exciting.
