It’s been just over a year since Horizon Forbidden West’s Burning Shores expansion was released.
If you’re anything like me, you’re likely craving news on what’s next for the franchise. It certainly feels as if something is brewing.
Just a few days ago, rumours surfaced suggesting that a LEGO Horizon game was set to be revealed soon with a trailer ready to go.

Alongside this, it’s been rumoured for quite some time now that Horizon Zero Dawn may be getting a full new-gen remake.
The game’s upcoming removal from PlayStation Plus only adds fuel to this fire given that we saw this happen with The Last of Us due to the remade Part I’s release and Marvel’s Spider-Man ahead of that game’s new-gen port.
Of course, both rumours must be taken with a pinch of salt for now but I’d say this is the perfect case of there’s no smoke without fire.
Last month, I spoke to Guerrilla’s Jan-Bart Van Beek at the BAFTA Games Awards who teased that multiple new Horizon projects were on the way, although he was unable to say any more.

Hopefully, we’ll see a PlayStation Showcase confirmed for the end of the month.
In the meantime, PC players can enjoy a graphics boost thanks to a nice little mod package.
If you haven’t yet played Burning Shores, I highly urge you to. It’s fantastic.
This mod project is the work of the ever-reliable YouTube wizard Digital Dreams. Horizon Zero Dawn is by no means a bad looking game, but seven years have passed since its original release so it could do with a few updates.

“This looks like Forbidden West on PS5 mate. Absolutely stunning,” wrote one viewer.
“Amazing to see this game in this config [...] It scales beautifully, these mods look fantastic,” said another.
Take a look for yourself below.
The great news is that you can head to the video’s description to download Digital Dreams’ reshade preset to give this makeover a go yourself.

That should keep you occupied until we find out what’s next for the franchise.
