Bloodborne remake update isn't what we wanted to hear

Bloodborne remake update isn't what we wanted to hear

Terrible, terrible news

Bloodborne fans, it looks like we’re still not getting that Bloodborne PlayStation 5 remake, unfortunately.

While I’m sure the majority of FromSoftware fans, new and old, are looking for to the release of Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree tomorrow, others are still lamenting that we’re yet to get a new-gen version of Bloodborne.

As I’m sure we all know, the only version of Bloodborne you can play is the PlayStation 4 version of the game, which is locked at 30fps. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a masterpiece of a game, but the lack of enhancements for the PlayStation 5 is disappointing.

Many have been dying for a remake ever since the PS5 came out, but unfortunately the hopes that we’ll get one soon have been shot down by the company believed to have been working on one.

It was suggested that if any developer was to remake Bloodborne aside from FromSoftware, it’d be Bluepoint Games.

Unfortunately the CEO of Bluepoint Games recently doubled-down on the statement that the company isn’t working on Bloodborne PS5, saying: “Nothing has changed since our statement that we are working on an original title. Everything takes time. We are committed to sharpening our skills!"”

Of course this doesn’t mean that a remake isn’t in the works somewhere, and honestly with all the buzz around soulsborne titles at the moment, especially with Elden Ring’s DLC, Sony would be pretty foolish to not capitalise on that hype.

Even the head of FromSoftware Hidetaka Miyazaki has confessed that he wouldn’t be opposed to a remaster.

For the time being though, Bloodborne fans are just going to have to cope and seethe, and hope one day Sony sees the light and finally brings the game back to us.
