For now, one YouTuber known as TeaserPlay has given us a little taste of what the next instalment could look like using Unreal Engine 5. In a short trailer, we see Geralt of Rivia explore the towns and cities we fell in love with in The Witcher 3, but this time they have been given the modern touch and it is clear to see.
With sunlight streaming through trees, flags fluttering in the wind and roaring fires taking over the landscape, it is clear to see that The Witcher 4 could differ massively graphics-wise if made in the same engine. Although we see Geralt in this trailer, it is reported that the next game will spell the end of his story and another character will be taking the helm. Whether or not this will be Ciri as some people believe is still up for speculation.
In related news, players are still finding hidden quests within The Witcher 3 almost ten years on. A recent find will take you to the Cave of Dreams and can be found in a remote area of the bustling map.
