The Witcher 4 is promised to be a technical marvel, and a huge step forward for video game graphics.
Now that production of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty has stopped the majority of the developers at CD Projekt Red are hard at work on the next Witcher title.

It’s said there are actually two Witcher games currently in development, the main one being The Witcher 4, details of which are slim, and the other being a remake of the first game which was released exclusively for PC.

CD Projekt Red is also reportedly in the early stages of planning for a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, though production won’t begin until The Witcher 4 is out the door.
As for The Witcher 4 we have no idea what it has in store for us, though we’re hoping it’ll be a game focused on Ciri.
There’s talk that Geralt could return in some capacity, either as a playable character or just someone involved in the story, though the one thing we do know is the game is being made with Unreal Engine 5.
As a result fans are expecting some mind-blowing visuals from the next game, and it’s more than likely that we’ll need a more advanced generation of consoles to play it at its best.

It’s also been said that CD Projekt Red could be one of the only developers capable of fixing the stuttering problem Unreal Engine 5 games tend to have, which has apparently plagued a number of titles that use the engine.
Whether they’ll be successful is anyone’s guess, but given how much work was put into Cyberpunk 2077 to work on so many different platforms, it seems like a safe bet to say the team will figure it out.
As for a release date, The Witcher 4 presumably still a few years from its release date, which is a good thing, as we don’t want another rushed game like Cyberpunk 2077 was.
