Fair to say, Starfield split opinion. Whilst some players praised its attention to detail, others complained it wasn’t immersive enough.
You might’ve found yourself impressed by the 1,000 planets on offer, or perhaps you couldn’t overlook all of those fast travel screens,
Personally, I was a big fan of Starfield but that’s not to say that it’s a game that cannot be improved.

Bethesda previously announced that developers were working on the addition of city maps, a quality of life update I think will majorly improve exploration, and there’s also the mysterious Shattered Space expansion to come.
Little is known about Shattered Space other than it’s supposedly due to land this year.
Hopefully, it won’t be too long before we get a full reveal but if you simply cannot stop craving more Starfield in the meantime, you may want to check out the ‘TGS Galactic Colonies Expanse’ mod.
Take a look at some of our favourite Starfield wins and fails below.
Created by NexusMods user TankGirl444, this DLC-sized mod adds a wealth of new content to the game including the ability to build entire colonies, establish a farm in addition to something Starfield fans have longed for: jumping into a mech.

“The idea is to turn the outpost system into an immersive space colonisation simulator, using elements from the game's core lore and story,” the creator explained.
“Make your colony more centralised and less about being forced to have many different outposts to get a ton of completely individual materials from all across the galaxy. And allow for it all to be reasonably mined from a single location, with a lore-friendly spin.”
The mod includes fully constructed buildings with new logistical or production functionalities (including power plants), a new resource generation system (via fracking stations), the ability to create ingots, and a full farming system (including 40 farmable plants).
As for those aforementioned mechs: “Mechs are now craftable and added to outpost defences!!! Using lore from the game. There is a large variety of them to pick from! And more will be added soon.”

TankGirl444 also plans to continue updating the mod, adding script changes depending on the biome and climate you’re in, in addition to adding NPC needs, and visiting NPC cargo ships and NPCs offering outpost related quests.
All in all, it sounds as if there’s plenty to keep you busy. You can download the mod for free now from NexusMods.
