Far Cry 4 Revived is a huge new remaster you can grab free now

Pagan Min has never looked better

Although not considered the best addition to the series, Far Cry 4 held its own when it was released back in 2014 and this free remaster is definitely an excuse to give the Ubisoft FPS another chance a decade on from launch.

Marking the fourth major instalment in the much-loved Far Cry series, Far Cry 4 took players to the fictional Himalayan country of Kyrat as they take on the role of Ajay Ghale who must go head-to-head with dictator Pagan Min.

Check out the trailer for Far Cry 4 below!

With the game now being over a decade old, it is considered quite outdated when it comes to modern day graphics and performance.

However, this free remaster aims to completely overhaul Far Cry 4 and give it a modern-day makeover.

Far Cry 4 Revived by MarvelousMod on Nexus Mods completely restores the graphics present at its E3 showcase, complete with a next-gen graphics boost.

The mod includes: better lighting, improved shadows, better reflections, colour grading and colour tone overhaul, sun reflection, increased draw distance and level of detail, and improvements to vegetation.

Not only that but the mod will allow you to have access to all weapons, ammo, and maps at the start of the game but the catch is that they will feature a price tag.

The Revived mod will also remove intro cutscenes, making it perfect for returning players, as well as better crafting mechanics, even removing the need to find rare animal skins across the world.

Last but not least, there will be more Karma events around the map in order to stack up on XP, more animal spawns (including the deadly honey badgers), and more random events such as stealing cargo trucks or taking out convoys.

This mod is not only designed to make Far Cry 4 look better but it will also make your experience a lot more enjoyable.

Better yet? It is completely free.
