I’d say Skyrim is already a massive game with hundreds of hours just waiting to be experienced, but it’s also a game that people have played to death.
Which is why it’s great to see so many modders and community creators out there creating new content for the game, and keeping Skyrim fans happy.
Skyrim is already massive, but why not use mods to make it bigger?
It’s hard to see the wood for the trees when it comes to Skyrim mods, as there are so many out there.

One such mod has crossed my desk this morning, and it promises to expand your game with a whole new area to explore, along with a bunch of new quests, too.
This one is called 'Midwood Isle', and it can be found over on NexusMods with all the instructions you need to get started.
There’s a lot here to sink your teeth into. The developer has got all you explorers covered with a new area the “size of two Skyrim holds.”
The mod also boasts of NPCs fully voiced to a very high standard by a team of over 30 voice actors, with thousands of unique dialogue lines.

There’s an 11 quest long main storyline, but also another 27 side quests to be getting on with, and these all follow along the storyline by weaving in and out.
You can also grab “an expansive Hearthfire-style house to purchase and build, with different room options and over 250 different building objects”.
It sounds pretty epic, and if you’re sat there needing a reason to dive back into your favourite game, this is certainly a way to expand that next session.
There are a bunch of new lore threads in the expansion, and the developer makes it known that you’ll find plenty of details, saying, “Midwood Isle focuses on the Sonmer and their homeland, Zahkris, and Erkaloth.”
