The Game Awards rounded out the year nicely with some unexpected reveals, including The Witcher 4’s first trailer and the reveal of Naughty Dog’s new IP Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
Unfortunately though, we’re no closer to getting our hands on The Elder Scrolls VI which was yet another showcase no-show.
I may not be telling the whole truth as we are somewhat closer to seeing this game launch.

While there have been no visible updates, devs will have spent the year hard at work, so we can only hope that they made significant progress.
Could 2025 bring us an Elder Scrolls VI reveal? Please don’t say we’re in for another year of clowning.
Thank heavens for Skyrim’s modding community.
Their efforts are keeping us entertained while we endure this most arduous of waits - and today, I’d like to highlight what is easily one of the very best Skyrim mods out there.

This one has been around for a number of years now but with its most recent update landing just this month, it’s never too late to check out the fantastic ‘Legacy of the Dragonborn’.
Take a look at some of our favourite Skyrim wins and fails below.
Created by NexusMods user icecreamassassin, ‘Legacy of the Dragonborn SSE’ is a DLC-sized mod that adds tons of new quests and items resulting in “hundreds of extra hours of play”.

“Legacy of the Dragonborn is one of the most acclaimed expansion sized mods for Skyrim which offers without equal; the most versatile, most expansive and most extensive display space for artifacts the Elder Scrolls series has ever seen,” the synopsis teases.
“On top of offering a museum for display of nearly 4600 potential unique items and sets (including supported mods), this mod offers an entirely new guild faction you start from the ground up, The Explorer’s Society. It offers dozens of new quests, a handful of major quest arcs and numerous useful and unique mechanics all centered around your home at the Dragonborn Gallery in Solitude.”
See? Plenty to keep you busy.
I will warn you that this mod is best installed if you’re ready to start a brand new playthrough. Adding it to an ongoing one can make for a slightly messy, incomplete experience.

Since its launch, ‘Legacy of the Dragonborn SSE’ has been downloaded millions of times. Yes, millions.
Surely, that’s enough to sway you that this one is worth a go?
If you’re nodding your head yes, simply hop on over to NexusMods on PC and get downloading.
