Fans of Red Dead Redemption may soon be getting stuck into the western adventure on PC if multiple rumours are to be believed.
First released in 2010, with its sequel following in 2018, Red Dead Redemption is considered as one of the best single player games of all time.

However, according to a new rumour, this could soon be changing and its arrival on PC could be imminent.
This news comes courtesy of the new BattlEye anti-cheat software that has arrived on GTA Online.
The new feature prompted an update to the Rockstar Launcher and thanks to this, eagle-eyed fans noticed something new.
According to Rockstar reporter Tez2, the update has “accidentally included the metadata for RDR1 PC”.

Tez2 posted this update alongside a link to the Steam App page for RDR1.
Not only is this a brand-new teaser but it also follows a discovery by Tez2 back in May.
After finding a code in the Rockstar launcher that a Red Dead Redemption PC port was in the works, Sony soon appeared out of nowhere in August and announced its existence via the PS Store.
However, the company soon pretended that nothing had happened but all of these coincidences can surely only mean one thing.

Although we have not yet had a direct confirmation from Rockstar, it would be a shame not to see the 2010 title made accessible on PC as there is no doubt fans both old and new will flock to play it.
Until then, we have Grand Theft Auto VI to look forward to with a recent rumour claiming that it could be released as early as September 2025.
