Red Dead Redemption 2 players can play through 48 new missions now

The redemption never ends

Red Dead Redemption 2 is already a long game, with many players clocking in hundreds of hours. Of course, this can be easily extended by mod teams. With the recent release of a Bandit Hideouts mod, there are now an extra 48 missions available.

Created by a tiny team, this mod extends some of the more popular mechanics by adding bandit hideouts across the map. It adds 77 bandit hideouts, in fact, plus 20 ambush locations. However, the mod also tweaks the way bandits act; for example, bandits will now chase the player if you leave the hideout area to retreat.

Red Dead Redemption 2's winning success never seems to end.

Bandits are a great diversion, and this mod will keep you from focusing on your quests if you happen to stumble across a group of them roaming the wilderness. Bandits will now attack you on sight and, to make it worse, there are even zombies in this mod pack too.

Once this mod is added to your game, you'll see a new icon on your map - a house with a skull inside - and this will point you to some bandits if you want to dive straight in. By tweaking the .ini file, you can determine whether bandits will respawn or not, plus you can choose how many hideouts are included on the map.

A nice addition to this mod is the ability to hire gunmen from local points of interest who will fight at your side. You can hire up to five gunmen at a time and they can be commanded using a commands menu. Of course, they'll play relatively safely to ensure that you don't end up arrested of killed because of their actions.

The Bandit Hideouts mod will definitely shake up you game, especially if you're starting another playthrough and looking to stay in this wonderful world.
