If you’ve ever wanted Red Dead Redemption 2 to be harder, you might be in luck thanks to a new gameplay twist.
Red Dead Redemption 2 can be easy or hard depending on how you play it. There certainly are ways to put self-imposed challenges on yourself to make it more difficult.
Some players try to do 'No Shooting' runs, where they have to try and beat the whole game using melee as often as possible.

Others have tried 'No Paying Off Bounties' runs, where you can’t remove the bounty you keep wracking up over the game’s 60+ hour play time.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is a game filled with unlimited potential.
On PC, mods can make challenge runs even more interesting. Modders have the ability to change the game rules, like increasing enemy damage or numbers.

That’s precisely what modder Dank12354 has done with their mod 'Jester's One Hit KO', which adds a great new challenge for players to complete.
'Jester's One Hit KO' changes the game rules so that taking any damage will one-hit kill you, unless you’re blocking with your fists.
While this might not change fist fights too much, it will certainly make the game extremely difficult in shooting sections. Now Arthur could go down quite easily in combat sequences where guns are pulled out.
Here’s a gameplay demonstration for the mod in action. Beware the video contains spoilers for Red Dead Redemption 2.
“I made this because I wasn't happy with other one-hit kill mods for my gameplays,” the mod author writes over on Nexus Mods.

“Some were bugged and didn't allow the game to be completed past a certain mission and another I tried killed the player even when they blocked hits, making beating the entire game without constantly using glitches impossible.”
In addition to one-hit kills, Dank12354 has also mentioned that they might be releasing an easier edition of the mod in the future. This could possibly be a three-hit kill version, giving players a little extra breathing space during combat.
'Jester's One Hit KO' is about 54KB in size, which is basically nothing, and should sit nicely in your mods folder provided you don’t have any other mods that affect damage taken.
Obviously if you do run into any problems or crashes, be sure to uninstall the mod first in case it’s causing any issues.
