What a journey Cyberpunk 2077 has been on.
It’s right up there as one of the most respected open-world RPGs in existence, and no one thought that was going to be the case when it was originally released in an abysmal state.
CD Projekt RED has worked miracles.

It’s one thing to turn your fortunes around and fulfil your vision, but the studio had an uphill battle getting fans back onside.
It did it though. Cyberpunk 2077 is beloved by its players for its richly detailed open-world, packed to the brim with enrapturing characters.
There are far too many characters within the game to explore in full.
Cyberpunk 2077’s world may be rich in lore, brimming with Easter eggs and secrets for fans to discover, but there are still gaps in our knowledge.

Take Adam Smasher, for example; one of the game’s toughest boss fights if you ask me.
There’s a ton that we don’t know about the history of this full borg mercenary outside of that Johnny Silervhand flashback.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be landing on the Nintendo Switch 2 this year.
I recently had the opportunity to catch up with actor Alec Newman at the BAFTA Games Awards, shortly after Alec had come off stage to accept the win for ‘Performer in a Leading Role’ for Still Wakes The Deep.

After congratulating the actor on his well-deserved win, I was keen to ask if he’d ever approached CD Projekt RED to encourage them to fill in the gaps in Smasher’s tale.
“That would be really interesting,” Alec told me.
“Why don’t you put it to them [CDPR] and tell them that I can do a younger me?” he added with a laugh.
“That character, when we recorded Adam Smasher initially, they really had no idea of what they wanted, so I gave them a couple of options and they just went, ‘Yeah, that one’. Give or take a bit of processing, that’s how it came out.”

Personally, I think an Adam Smasher prequel of some variety would make for a great DLC expansion, so here I am doing it Alec.
CD Projekt RED, pretty please?
