Bethesda’s Fallout series is one of the most beloved in its genre and Disco Elysium is one of the most critically acclaimed indie titles in recent years, so what if we could get a little bit of both in one epic game?
If that prospect tickles your fancy, then the upcoming RPG Glasshouse might just be your cup of tea. Before Bethesda acquired the rights to the series, Fallout was a top-down RPG, which of course was a very different perspective to that of Fallout 3 in 2008 and beyond.
Check out the Glasshouse trailer below!
Developed and published by FLAT28, Glasshouse not only looks to be inspired by Fallout games of yesteryear but also the indie darling Disco Elysium from ZA/UM - and it’s coming to PC via Steam soon. “A thrilling, narrative-driven survival RPG set in a post-capitalist world in flames. Win condominium elections, build makeshift equipment and solve the political conspiracy before it's too late!” reads the description of the game.

Set in the industrial town of Lundonstock following the end of a capitalist world, your choices matter more now than ever, and your story will be shaped by your decisions. Lundonstock is in “lockdown as a result of the atomic threat launched by the CoFoPo terrorist union. You are a citizen who has found himself trapped in a cramped Apartment Complex with those you would consider friends. As time goes on, tensions rise, resources dwindle, and trust begins to falter, leaving the hope of survival in your hands.”
At the time of writing, Glasshouse does not have a release date, but with a bit of luck, it will launch in the coming months. Hopefully, should Glasshouse prove to be a success we might even get a console release because I can see this being right at home on the Nintendo Switch. If you want to play Glasshouse right now, a free demo is available to download via Steam.
