Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag is easily one of the best entries in the Assassin’s Creed franchise - and thanks to the magicians over at Digital Dreams, it’s looking better than ever.
While it remains unconfirmed by Ubisoft, a remake of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag is reportedly in the works. The next Assassin’s Creed entry to grace our consoles though is Codename Red, believed to release later this year. Taking players to Feudal Japan, the game will feature dual protagonists: a male samurai and a female shinobi. We’re awaiting news on when the yearly Ubisoft Forward showcase will be held - last year’s fell during Summer Game Fest. It’s most likely that if the Black Flag remake is real, we’d hear about it then. In the meantime though, PC Black Flag players can download Digital Dreams’ fantastic remaster mod to completely overhaul the game.

Digital Dreams live up to their name, making our digital dreams come true. In case you missed it, they previously released a stunning Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag remaster mod, displaying the results via a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card. Needless to say, by the time the project was complete, Black Flag easily looked like a game that could be due to be released this year.
