Fans are getting thoroughly hyped for a new Nintendo Switch title that one journalist has described as “10 times bigger than Skyrim” - an absolutely bananas statement that, by all accounts, is 100% true.
“Xenoblade X is more than 10 times bigger than Skyrim with practically zero loading times,” stated Washington Post journalist Gene Park on Twitter, “and you fly around in customizable mecha suits. every party member can get their own mech. you are not ready.”
So how true is that statement? Well, as it goes, yeah - Xenoblade Chronicles X really is that big.

How do we know that for certain? That’s because Xenoblade Chronicles X is a 10-year-old game that originally dropped back in 2015 for the WiiU.
However, we weren’t lying when we said this is a “new” game, because the version Park is referring to is actually the remastered “Definitive Edition” of Xenoblade Chronicles X that is set to drop on the Nintendo Switch later this year.
Now, as a result of Park’s Tweet, people who were completely unaware of Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition are suddenly excited to get their hands on it.
“I can’t wait,” commented user @MightyKeef.

“My favorite so far is still xenoblade chronicles 2, but this is the one game I never played from the series.”
“I'm as excited for this game as I am for MH Wilds and I'm serious,” replied user @GalanOfTruth.
“This is still my favorite open world game and from what i'm hearing they've improved it. All I wanted all of these years was just a port and we got a gift like this.”
If this has only just put the game on your radar and you’re excited to get your hands on it ASAP, then I have some great news for you, as Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition on March 20 this year.

Genuinely interested to find out how will the often-maligned Nintendo Switch will handle a game like this, but Monolith Soft hasn’t let us down yet.
