More details have emerged regarding the Nintendo Switch 2 from a leaked news report in Taiwan and, if this is to be believed, it will be another smash hit for Nintendo.
The main details in the leak are that the console will be a dual-screen design with an increased battery life, and AI graphics processing capabilities, such as DLSS. However, the big news is the price.
Will we be playing the new Zelda on a Nintendo Switch 2 next year?
According to the Taiwan Economic Daily News, the Nintendo Switch 2 will retail for $400, around $50 more than the OLED Switch model.

Of course, as with any leak, we say to take this news with a pinch of salt, however, we are getting closer and closer to the official announcement of the console, so any news could very well be based on solid sources.
When reported on Reddit, the original poster also mentioned that Nintendo is considering announcing the console before the end of 2024 in response to the PS5 Pro.
CountBleckwantedlove gave a three-word reply to the news that made me a little bit excited. They said, “Nintendo Dual Switch.”
It’s only on reading this leak that I though how much sense it would make, especially if Nintendo wants to explore more of the DS and 3DS back catalogue.

There are, however, some in the Reddit thread who don’t want a second screen, “I know there were rumors years ago about dual screen, but I seriously hope it's a single screen like Switch.”
While kyutek believes this is incorrect, “I don’t think it’s a second screen in the sense you are thinking but that you can change the orientation. The device is rumored to be magnetic with the joy cons able to be placed on the sides vertically or horizontally.”
As ever, we’ll have to wait and see how much of this is true, if any, but that price point would seriously shift some units, that’s for sure.
