After several leaks, Nintendo has finally revealed the Switch 2.
If you somehow missed the shadow drop announcement yesterday, the Nintendo Switch 2 has officially been revealed.
What is more, a showcase of the console is soon to follow in April.

Much like the PlayStation 5 Pro, this Nintendo console has been a poorly kept secret.

Yet, despite its grand reveal feeling a tad underwhelming, there’s still a lot to be hyped about.

However, there are some potential issues you may have missed during the excitement of finally having official images to look at.
Despite backwards compatibility being a part of this new hardware, there are some games that won’t work with the Switch 2.
Nintendo detailed this in its trailer, yet it’s far too easy to overlook.
Luckily, social media users such as X’s @MetroidFREAK21 are on hand to ensure we take notice of this information.

In the image shared, Nintendo clearly states, “Certain Nintendo Switch games may not be supported on or fully compatible.”
As MetroidFREAK21remarked, this is a “scary thought”.
Even though the OP didn’t want to “stir the pot”, they have undoubtedly done just that.

User @Diehardgamer83 responded, “This is just referring to games like 1-2 Switch as well as that Labo thing that didn't take off.”
Their post continued, “They confirmed that the Switch 2 will be backwards compatible with the library of the original Nintendo Switch. Don't jump to conclusions so soon.”
Other gamers, however, have already been preparing for this eventuality.
“The Xbox series X had this ‘issue’ with 360 games. Definitely a good idea to hold onto a switch lol,” @ChefSanjithe commented.

It’s unclear what games, if any, will be affected, meaning we’d do well to not lose our heads over this information.
Still, as suggested earlier, keeping our Switch handy is also a wise move.
Assuming you’re interested in purchasing the Switch 2 as soon as it launches, you’d do well to get your preorders in early.
Preorders have started, so now is the time to strike while the iron is hot.
