The Nintendo Switch 2 reveal is imminent, so much so that many were caught off-guard yesterday by one of the company’s announcements.
In case you missed it, Nintendo shared what was believed to be a console reveal, but it turned out to be a trailer for the LEGO Game Boy set instead. It looks adorable but they got us good with it.

We’re not losing hope though as the Nintendo Switch 2 is bound to be shown off at some point soon, after all most of the console’s design and features have been leaked ahead of time.

To add to those leaks it’s believed some of the console’s launch titles have been exposed, and one of them is unexpected but a banger nonetheless.
It’s not a first-party Nintendo title either, it’s none other than Red Dead Redemption, we don’t know which one though.
Researchers reckon there’s a good chance that it’s Red Dead Redemption 2, which seems likely as the first game is already on the Nintendo Switch and it’s inevitable that the Nintendo Switch 2 is backwards compatible.
The researchers also say Tekken 8 and FIFA games will join it as the first third-party titles on the console.

Take this with a pinch of salt though as it’s still early days, but if it’s true this should tell us everything we need to know about the Nintendo Switch 2’s capabilities, as Red Dead Redemption 2 is a massive game and needs certain hardware to run it properly.
Hopefully that’s the case and it’s not a cloud-streamed version, but given how almost all sources say Nintendo’s next home console is a significant upgrade over its predecessor, there’s a pretty solid chance that it’s the real deal.
This means we can be heart-broken all over again by Red Dead Redemption 2, and play it on the go as well, bonus.
