It’s less than a month until we get a better look at the Nintendo Switch 2, and while Nintendo has said that software will be revealed later, we’d be surprised if we didn’t get a glimpse at a few launch titles in April.

According to the leaker, Kiwi Talkz on Twitter, one of these games should be Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, which was announced some time ago.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is coming soon, but is it a Switch 2 launch title?

Over the years, Reece “Kiwi Talkz” Reilly has build up a relationship with developer Retro Studios, and possibly has an inside line on the next Metroid title published by Nintendo.

Reilly states the reveal will “blow everything else in the direct out of the water.”

In a follow-up tweet, Reilly says, “Nintendo are constantly tweaking directs right down to the last minute but as of now I am 90% certain it will be in the Direct.”

Whether this is concrete information, or speculation, this leak could turn out to be true given how important the franchise is for Nintendo.

It’s possible that the next Metroid will be a cross-platform release, but receive an enhanced version for the Nintendo Switch 2, showcasing what the hardware can really do.

In the original trailer for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, it was stated that it would be for Nintendo Switch, so a joint release is a distinct possibility.

Nintendo has done this before, most recently with The Legend of Zelda, as Breath of the Wild debuted on the Switch, but was a swansong for the WiiU, also.

Of course, we’ll all be tuned into the next Nintendo Direct in April in the hopes that we get a glimpse of the next Samus adventure.

It would certainly be a monumental way to unveil the new hardware and show off the possibilities and power.

As ever, take this with a pinch of salt, but we know the game is coming, so you can allow yourself a little hype.
