Grand Theft Auto VI remains on track to release this year, hurray.
Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar Games’ parent company, held its latest earnings call last week, with the company confirming that GTA VI is still scheduled to release this coming fall / autumn.
That should see the highly anticipated title land sometime between September and November.

It’s not the second trailer or release date that many of us were hoping to see land during the earnings call, but it’s not a bad alternative.
Let’s face it. We wouldn’t have wanted to hear that the game is delayed.
That being said, despite Take-Two’s assurances that GTA VI is on track, fans are still worried that a delay might manifest.
You see, we’ve been burned before. Red Dead Redemption 2 was confirmed to be on track during a February earnings call of yesteryear, only to be delayed in May.

That’s not what I’m here to discuss though.
Alongside all of the chatter about GTA VI’s release date, it was teased that the game may eventually be coming to a rather unexpected platform.
Take a look at GTA VI in action below.
At the time of writing, GTA VI is scheduled to land on PlayStation 5 and Xbox series X/S.

It’s assumed that the game will eventually be released on PC, but that’s not yet been confirmed.
Take-Two Interactive boss Strauss Zelnick did recently suggest though that the game may come to the Nintendo Switch 2.
Following the earnings call, as reported by Eurogamer, Zelnick touched on the topic.
“We've had obviously a long-standing relationship with Nintendo and we've supported the platform when it made sense for the individual release," Zelnick said.

"There was a time when Nintendo platforms [were] really geared at younger audiences and that was reflected in our release schedule. And now today with Switch and potentially with Switch 2, the Switch device can support any audience.”
"As you may have noted, Civilization VII is now on Switch. So while we have nothing specific to report, we actually would fully expect to support Switch [2],” he continued.
This isn’t concrete evidence of a GTA VI port on the Switch 2, but the mention of ‘full support’? Well, it certainly doesn’t rule it out either.
That’s a development I don’t think any of us expected.
