Marvel unleashes our new Hawkeye in epic surprise trailer

Marvel unleashes our new Hawkeye in epic surprise trailer

Clint Barton is back

Clint Barton’s Hawkeye is back in action, and he’s arguably never looked better than in this latest teaser trailer.

Marvel Rivals is nearly upon us, we’ve only got around three weeks left before we dive into the new Marvel hero-shooter starring characters like Spider-Man, Moon Knight and Storm from the X-Men.

With the festive season coming up, now's a great time to rewatch the Hawkeye series on Disney+

If you were lucky enough to try the game during its open-beta you’ll undoubtedly be eager for more, especially with all the new characters being announced during the build-up to launch.

Joining the roster is Hawkeye, the Clint Barton version of Hawkeye, with a bold new look and abilities built around going on the offensive.

Fans have known he’d be making his way into the game for a while, but still he looks exceptionally good and more importantly fun to play with.

Overwatch fans will likely draw a few comparisons to Hanzo, but rest-assured Hawkeye cannot summon a massive swirling dragon out of his bow.

What he can do is snipe enemies from afar, with headshots obviously dealing out the most damage, use special arrows to confuse and damage the enemy further, and hack-and-slash the competition with a sword.

He joins the likes of the Duelist class, which includes Scarlet Witch, Punisher, Iron Man, and other heroes whose sole purpose is to obliterate the enemy team.

It’s unknown what other characters will be joining the game in the months to come, but if the game is successful it’ll likely be supported for quite a while, so don’t worry if your personal favourite isn’t on the roster yet as there’s still hope.

The last thing worth mentioning is while this Hawkeye design is vastly different to anything he’s had before in other media, Marvel Rivals does seem keen to provide several different skins for its characters, so we could see one that makes him don his MCU outfits or something more comic-accurate.
