One GTA fan believes they’ve finally narrowed down the launch month for GTA 6.
Without a second trailer, fans are donning their detective costumes to try and better pinpoint the exact date GTA VI will be released.
“Fall 2025” is rather vague.

Not long until we get that second trailer, right? Right?
Having done a an extra bit of investigating, Redditor adamcookie26 believes they know when the next GTA VI trailer will drop, and possibly the month the title will launch.
Using the official teaser trailer for Mafia: The Old Country as their guide, the OP surmises that GTA VI’s second trailer will need to come out this month to avoid it overshadowing the Mafia trailer drop in December.

It’s a compelling theory.
“One of the only things that makes sense in this subreddit,” replied Any_Fig_1164.
If you doubt that one would overshadow the other, user MysteriousBrick6057 heartily disagrees.
“We're comparing an anticipated game vs the most anticipated game of the decade. So, yeah GTA VI would overshadow Mafia,” they explained.

Putting aside that debate for a moment, let’s look at this theory when partnered with ‘the moon theory’.
This popular theory states that the lunar cycle can be used to predict exactly when the second trailer will be revealed.

Sounds extremely farfetched, yet fans are loving this one over all of the others circulating the internet.
By combining the moon theory with this Mafia: The Old Country one, both point to an announcement in November.
That logic, coupled with a recent Take-Two conference, suggests the game is less than a year away.
Whether the lunar cycle can also give us a hint at when exactly the game will be released, we can’t say. Let’s see if the first theory is right and then go from there.

This could be the month we get more answers.
What is more, November 2025 might just be the date GTA VI is released. As a November baby, I certainly hope that’s the case.
