GTA VI’s launch day will apparently take priority over some people’s jobs, as fans prepare to book holidays for whenever the game releases.
Launch days can be a very exciting time for gamers, with only the most highly-anticipated titles receiving that electric midnight-release hype.
There’s no doubt that GTA VI is going to be one of those games, especially with how much hype the reveal trailer received
Unfortunately no one knows when GTA VI is supposed to come out, so it’s a bit early to be planning holidays around it.

That doesn’t mean it won’t be an event though, as a Reddit thread recently asked if the game’s release date will be “just as important” as national/international holidays.
The post continued “For example, I know a lot of people are going to be taking time off from work or school to play this game as if It were a holiday. Will you be one of those people?”
As you can imagine the answers formed a resounding “yes,” so I wouldn’t be surprised if a few shops close their doors on the game’s launch date due to a lack of staff.
One fan even claimed the game’s release will even be “more important” than some of the big end-of-year holidays like Christmas.

“Honestly? Yeah, I will probably request a couple of my vacation days to really get into it for a bit. I also think it’s gonna be a massive event, release day and all of that. Will surely see lines in GameStop, etc” added another fan.
As for the game’s actual release date, there’s rumour of the game not actually launching in 2025 as planned, which is hopefully not the case.
Whenever the game does drop though, you can bet it’ll be a very bad day for businesses not named “Rockstar Games.”
