Despite these rising concerns though, there are some who are hopeful about the launch of GTA VI.
In fact, some fans believe they’ve narrowed down its release date.
Using Rockstar’s past launches for reference, Redditor Wrong-Masterpiece-14 thinks we have less time until the new game than we thought.
“Since Rockstar doesn't really release games in November, Grand Theft Auto VI may just be LESS THAN A YEAR AWAY!” they theorised.

Using that information for guidance, the tentative suggestion put forward is that the next GTA will be released in October 2025.
Apart from few curveballs, Rockstar has favoured October as its primary launch month.
Even if it isn’t October, it’s clear to fans that the publisher has a preference for autumnal releases.
“If you look through Rockstar's release history, they definitely prefer October/Fall releases,” explained afecalmatter.

Even though there’s the odd disagreement during the discussion, most fans are hopeful that GTA VI is going ahead as planned.
For their sake – and more importantly, ours – we pray they’re correct.
The unreal levels of detail this next instalment promises has us eager for that second trailer, the one that Rockstar seems hesitant to drop.
