Call Of Duty developers have expressed disappointment and outrage with a comment made about Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s campaign during The Game Awards.
The comment in question was made by Christopher Judge, best known for playing the God Of War himself, Kratos.
Speaking of which, God Of War: Ragnarok is getting a new, free roguelike update, check it out below
Judge was brought on stage to present the award for Best Performance, which ended up going to Baldur’s Gate 3 actor Neil Newbon for his role as Astarion. Before the award was handed out though, Judge gave a small speech with some witty banter and a quick, but painful jab at the latest Call Of Duty game.

While referencing the eight-minute speech he gave at last year’s Game Awards event, Judge said: "I’m not going to stand up here, making long speeches. I’m going to stick to the script. No eight-minute speech like last year … But fun fact, my speech was actually longer than this year’s Call of Duty campaign.”
Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been slated as one of the worst Call Of Duty games to date, with the campaign being the source of frustration for many players as it's reportedly three hours long. What should have been some lighthearted fun at COD’s expense though has turned into outrage online, as Call Of Duty developers have criticised Christopher Judge for the remark in since deleted tweets.
"Honestly, as Call of Duty developers, we've heard way worse … But we don't expect it from a peer, at an event that is supposed to be celebrating this year's achievements in gaming.”

“‘funny’ but yeah the metrics that CoD absolutely destroys all of the God Of War games (probably combined tbh) it is also equally laughable (if not more)”
“Imagine having short user engagement once your game is consumed… can’t relate.”
Whether Christopher Judge will choose his words carefully next time is another question, though it’s unlikely as he laughed off his joke saying “another company I’ll never work for…”
