Although it’s not a hard feat by any means, it seems as though Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will officially be longer than Modern Warfare 3 when it releases later this year.
Set to arrive on 24 October, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is the next entry in the much-loved FPS and one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

However, with its predecessor Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 being quite the let down, the next entry has quite a bit of redeeming to do.

Modern Warfare’s failure was mainly to do with its single-player mode which was described as “the worst campaign in Call of Duty history”. This was due to it only featuring 15 missions in total - with some lasting mere minutes - and having some abysmal open-combat missions on top.
However, it has been confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will have at least 16 missions according to a map shown in a Safehouse during a reveal last week.
Additionally, this reveal shows that Treyarch’s title will be more of a “spy thriller” and feature a combination of all-out shooting and stealth missions.
Although Black Ops 6 is set to feature just one extra mission compared to Modern Warfare 3, we can assume Treyarch has learned from its mistake and made them quite a bit longer. Additionally, the developers have confirmed the missions themselves will be more in-depth.

As for the Safehouse map, it appears to have the majority of its pins stuck in the Europe region with some even indicating UK cities such as Liverpool and Brighton.
There are also some found in Spain, Italy, Germany, France and Austria so it appears the majority of missions will take place in Europe. However, these could also be placeholders ahead of the real thing.
Either way, fans are feeling optimistic that Black Ops 6 will be a much better experience than 2023’s Modern Warfare 3. Here’s hoping!
